SparkLoop is a local-first puzzle application. Basic gameplay, settings, and progress work without an account and remain usable when the device is offline or advertising is unavailable.
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SparkLoop handles information when you use the SparkLoop mobile application. It covers information stored locally by the app, information processed through advertising services, optional analytics, support communications, and any optional account or cloud features that may be enabled in a production build.
This policy does not replace the privacy policies of third-party services used by SparkLoop. Links to those services appear below.
2. Information stored locally on your device
SparkLoop stores information needed to provide its local game experience. This may include:
- App preferences, including theme, sound, and analytics choices.
- Onboarding status.
- Puzzle and session progress.
- Scores, points, accuracy, completed-session counts, and related statistics.
- Daily-play and streak information, where applicable.
This information is stored using local app storage on your device. Local-only information is not transmitted to SparkLoop merely because it is stored by the app.
You can remove SparkLoop's locally stored settings and progress by using Settings > Reset local data. You may also remove local app data through your device settings or by uninstalling the app, subject to your device's operating-system and backup behavior.
3. Advertising
SparkLoop uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertising when advertising is available and permitted. SparkLoop may display:
- Banner advertisements in designated areas of the app.
- Interstitial advertisements at natural breaks. SparkLoop's current design limits these to every third completed session.
- Optional rewarded advertisements. Choosing to complete a rewarded advertisement may provide 25 bonus points. Basic gameplay does not require watching a rewarded advertisement.
Advertising may be unavailable because of network conditions, geographic availability, consent status, ad supply, or technical conditions. SparkLoop remains usable when an advertisement does not load.
Information processed for advertising
Google Mobile Ads and participating advertising partners may process information such as:
- Your device's IP address, which may indicate general location.
- Advertising, app-set, device, or similar identifiers.
- Ad views, taps, video views, and other ad interactions.
- App and SDK performance or diagnostic information.
- Device, operating-system, and application information.
Google and its advertising partners process this information for purposes that may include delivering ads, measuring ad performance, analytics, security, and fraud prevention. The exact processing may depend on your region, device settings, consent choices, and the advertising partners selected in Google's systems.
SparkLoop does not directly sell information that you provide to SparkLoop. However, advertising-related processing may be treated as “sharing,” targeted advertising, or a similar activity under some privacy laws. Where required, privacy choices are presented through Google's consent and privacy tools.
4. Advertising consent and privacy choices
SparkLoop uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain updated consent information and determine whether advertisements may be requested.
Where required for your region or circumstances, Google may present a consent or privacy message. SparkLoop requests ads only after UMP reports that ad requests are permitted. When UMP reports that an ongoing privacy-options entry point is required, SparkLoop displays an Ad privacy choices option in Settings.
Privacy choices available through UMP may vary by region. Your choices may affect whether ads are personalized, limited, or unavailable. Declining or changing an advertising choice does not prevent access to SparkLoop's local puzzle functionality.
You may also manage certain advertising identifiers and privacy controls through your Android device settings.
5. Optional analytics
SparkLoop includes a setting labeled Optional analytics. This setting is separate from advertising consent.
If analytics is enabled in the production build and you enable this setting, SparkLoop may record app events used to understand reliability and puzzle flow. These may include events such as onboarding completion, session completion, game mode, answer or score totals, and completion of an optional rewarded bonus.
Analytics providers may also process technical information about the app installation, device, app version, general region, and app interactions under their own terms. You can turn optional analytics off in SparkLoop Settings.
6. Accounts and optional cloud backup
SparkLoop is designed to support local play without an account. In the currently tested local-first configuration, account and cloud-backup services are not enabled.
A future or separately configured build may offer optional account and cloud-backup features using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. If those features are enabled, SparkLoop may process an account identifier, email address or authentication information, and may upload settings, scores, statistics, and progress for synchronization and restoration.
Before enabling those features in production, SparkLoop will provide an appropriate in-app notice, define cloud-data retention, and provide account and associated-data deletion controls. This policy will be updated if the production data flow changes.
If a production version allows users to create accounts, SparkLoop will provide both an in-app deletion path and a public web-based deletion-request path, as required for that release.
7. Diagnostics and app-integrity services
A production build may use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes or Firebase App Check to help verify that requests come from authentic app installations. These services are not described as active merely because their software packages are present in the project.
If enabled, Crashlytics may process crash traces, app-installation identifiers, device and operating-system information, app version, and technical conditions surrounding a crash. App Check may process app/device attestation material and app-integrity tokens. The final production configuration and Google Play Data safety disclosures must identify which of these services are actually active.
8. Support communications
If you contact SparkLoop support, we receive the email address you use, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond, investigate the issue, maintain security, and keep reasonable support records.
Please do not send passwords, authentication tokens, financial information, government identifiers, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support request.
9. Third-party services
SparkLoop may use the following Google services when enabled:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information for advertising
- Google User Messaging Platform for Flutter
- Privacy and Security in Firebase
Third-party providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their practices may change, so you should review their current notices.
10. Purposes and legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, information may be processed:
- To provide the local app features you request.
- With consent, where consent is required for advertising, device storage/access, or optional analytics.
- For legitimate interests such as app security, fraud prevention, support, and reliability, where those interests are permitted and are not overridden by your rights.
- To respond to your requests or comply with legal obligations.
You may withdraw consent through the applicable in-app privacy control or device setting where that processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
11. Retention and deletion
- Local game data remains on your device until you reset it, remove it through device controls, or uninstall the app.
- Support communications are retained only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, protect security, or meet legal obligations.
- Advertising and analytics providers retain information according to their own policies and your available privacy choices.
- If cloud backup is enabled in a future build, its retention and deletion periods will be documented before production use.
Resetting local data does not automatically delete information independently processed by Google or another provider. Use the applicable provider, consent, account, or device controls for that information.
12. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information.
For information stored only on your device, use SparkLoop's Reset local data option. SparkLoop cannot retrieve local-only information that was never transmitted to us.
To submit a privacy request concerning information controlled by SparkLoop, email tech@smcshenterprise.net. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate any relevant records. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Advertising-related choices may also be available through SparkLoop's Ad privacy choices setting, when UMP reports that this option is required, and through your device's advertising settings.
13. International processing
Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, processing and transfers are subject to the provider's contractual, organizational, and legal safeguards. Review the provider links above for additional information.
14. Security
SparkLoop seeks to minimize the information it handles and uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app's functions. Third-party transmissions are handled using the security measures provided by those services.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You should keep your device, operating system, and SparkLoop version current and protect access to your device.
15. Children and target audience
SparkLoop is intended for a general audience of teens and adults. It is not designed or marketed primarily to children under 13. SparkLoop does not knowingly request that children submit personal information through puzzle gameplay.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to SparkLoop may contact tech@smcshenterprise.net. We will review the request and take appropriate action where required.
16. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when SparkLoop's features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, an additional in-app notice or consent request will be provided where required.
